It’s no secret the cost of designing/renovating a kitchen or bath adds up quickly. While it is vital for showroom professionals to create a design that ts their clients’ needs, it’s also imperative to choose products, n- ishes, and color schemes that will provide years of enjoyment instead of embracing the fad of the moment.
According to many industry veterans, homeowners are willing to take a bit more risk these days when making their selections. That’s quite a contrast to days past when, as one professional put it, “Every house down the block had rooster-themed kitchens.”
Similarly, fewer consumers are ascribing to the belief that everything needs to match. Blending complementary xtures and accessories allows homeowners much more exibility and individuality. Beyond that, “smart” technologies have moved beyond novelty and are now standard on many bath and kitchen products, enabling homeowners to control their whole house at the push of a bu on on their Bluetooth-enabled devices.
As we approach KBIS 2019, let’s take a look at some of the trends to watch for — and a few that seem to be waning.
