Interior designer and star of HGTV’s Love It
or List It, Hilary Farr is a well-known name in the consumer design space. This market, she’ll
be debuting a whole arsenal of collections with manufacturer partners, including rugs with Kaleen; furniture with Braxton Culler; upholstery fabric with Covington Fabric & Design; and lighting with Grandview Gallery.
I sat down for a quick Q&A with Angela Cook, CEO of Grandview Gallery, to find out what we can expect from this partnership.
HOW DID THIS PARTNERSHIP WITH HILARY COME TO BE, AND WHY IS IT A GREAT FIT?
All American Licensing, the licensing specialists, approached us a few years ago about branding opportunities and we expressed interest if the right brand for Grandview became available. A couple of years later, they mentioned the new opportunity with Hilary Farr Designs. I said the Hilary Farr name is a perfect fit! She has to design within her client’s budget, and we create high-quality, trendsetting lamps at a great value.
HOW MANY PIECES WILL DEBUT IN HILARY’S COLLECTION? IS
IT A MIX OF PORTABLES AND FIXTURES?
We will have a soft launch in October of approximately 25 pieces with many more to come next spring. It’s mostly portable lighting with a small mix of fixtures.
