GlassMaven

“Organic movement exuding warm energy” is how the hand-cra ed glass art of Susie Zeitner has been described. She

founded Z Glass Act in 1998 in Oregon a er a long career as a Graphic Designer and Commercial Photo Director. Zeitner
later spent 15 years as an Art Glass Interior Design Specialist, which inspired her to create her own line of glass design.

Zeitner is the sole creator of each piece that is produced in her studio in Sisters, Oregon. She has specialized in combining

glassware and lighting xtures that are contemporary, elegantly sculptured – yet functional – pieces. Each is unique, made by hand
and utilizes kilns plus cut, broken, and ground glass pieces. In the glass world, Zeitner’s artistic process is called “painting with light”

and involves building imagery through the glass that, when red, renders the entire image with clear saturation throughout the piece.
She has successfully been commissioned to produce pieces for numerous hotels, restaurants, and custom homes. Aside from the

vivid lighting xtures that are her signature, Zeitner has designed glass art for architectural elements such as countertops, mantles,
and tiling. Through her custom work, she is able to collaborate with the client to create art that complements their vision.
