Robert Sonneman – Founder and Designer, Sonneman – A Way of Life

Robert Sonneman, “Lighting’s Modern Master”, pioneered contemporary lighting making it an art form. His award-winning designs have been at the forefront of the design world for almost five decades. Since their introduction in the 1960s and ’70s, many of Robert’s lighting designs have become classics of the modern era.

He founded  SONNEMAN – A Way of Light in 2003, as a tribute to contemporary lighting design as seen through his creative mind and lens. From the late 1960’s, Robert Sonneman pioneered modern lighting, making it an art form. World-renowned and acclaimed for clean lines and an alliance to form and function, Sonneman’s award-winning pieces have been at the design forefront for over four decades.

Alecia Wesner – President and Managing-Partner, Kovacs Design Group

Alecia Wesner is president and managing-partner of Kovacs-Wesner Design Group, licensor of George Kovacs Lighting since 2002.  She began as Director of Design for Kovacs in 1997 and continues to design for the brand.  Her work can be found in homes, hotels and contract applications throughout the world.  Alecia has served as both the visiting critic and guest lecturer at various design schools, and most recently at the Pratt Institute in New York City.
