Nesquehoning, Pa.-based Elk Home kicked off this year with a corporate rebranding effort and launching the Studio and Signature names. It enters the second quarter of this year (Q2) with new hires focused on sharpening these initiatives.
Gil Sturtzel – a furniture veteran who most recently oversaw Sunny Designs’ transformation from niche supplier to full furniture line – will serve as Director/Product Development for Studio furniture and key accounts – while Jake Blake, who previously handled product development and merchandising for furniture accessories at FLAIR Home Collection, has been named Director/Product Development for home décor.
Victoria Corea brings her marketing experience at Kravet, Robert Allen Duralee, and DiSalvo Interiors to Elk as the newly appointed Director of Brand, where she will spearhead the continued rebranding efforts and streamlining of corporate messaging.
“One of our goals for creating Studio and Signature under the under the Elk Home umbrella was to clearly articulate to the market the differentiated value propositions we can offer in furniture, lighting, and home décor,” explains Elk Home CEO David Pamer. “In order to do this effectively, we must attract top talent to our product development and marketing teams who are aligned with the execution of this strategy for the company. The addition of Gil, Jake, and Victoria adds a breadth of expertise and experience that will help usher Elk Home into a new era — all with the goal of positioning Elk Home as a preferred supplier to our channel distributor partners.”
Sturtzel and Blake will report to Elk veteran Emma Lowry, who was recently promoted to VP/Product Development. In her new role, she will oversee the product development team and overall product offering. Corea will report to Robin Gordon, VP/Marketing, who joined Elk Home in 2019. Earlier this year, Elk Home announced the addition of Michael Van Derlofske as VP/Sales & Retail Business Development.
