Sea Gull Lighting Wins EPA Energy Star Award: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has named Sea Gull Lighting, headquartered in Riverside, N.J., as a 2012 ENERGY STAR Award for Excellence in ENERGY STAR Promotion winner for its leadership position in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by sponsoring consumer education efforts that promote energy-efficient products. Sea Gull Lighting’s accomplishments were recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 15, which marks the 20th anniversary of ENERGY STAR.
Sea Gull Lighting, an ENERGY STAR partner since 1992, was honored for its work in promoting products and programs that meet ENERGY STAR guidelines for energy efficiency. Recently, Sea Gull Lighting has expanded its ENERGY STAR and LED lines with the introductions of new ENERGY STAR-qualified fixtures and a line of nine ENERGY STAR-qualified LED bulbs that allow the conversion for 85 percent of the company’s lighting fixtures to LED.
“Sea Gull Lighting has always supported the EPA and its mission to deliver energy-efficient ENERGY STAR products and programs to consumers,” says Greg Cesca, president at Sea Gull Lighting. “As a two-time recipient of ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year honors and a three-time winner of the ENERGY STAR® Sustained Excellence Award, we’re thrilled to be honored again by the EPA for the quality ENERGY STAR products we deliver to the marketplace. We’re committed to continuing this important partnership and delivering energy saving and environmentally-friendly solutions to our builder partners and consumers.”
