The Rosslyn, Va.-based National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) elected Christopher B. Curtis, President & CEO/North America of Schneider Electric, as Chairman of the 2014 Board of Governors at its recent annual meeting in Palm Beach, Florida.
Other officers are First Vice Chairman Thomas Gross, Vice Chairman & COO/Electrical Sector for Eaton; Second Vice Chairwoman Maryrose Sylvester, President & CEO of GE Lighting; Treasurer Donald J. Hendler, President & CEO of Leviton Manufacturing Co.; and Immediate Past Chairman John Selldorff, President & CEO of Legrand North America.
The executive committee also includes Daryl Dulaney, President & CEO of Siemens Industry; John Estey, President & CEO of S&C Electric Company; Michael Pessina, President of Lutron Electronics Co.; and Stuart Thorn, President & CEO of Southwire Company.
Newly elected to the board for three-year terms are Mark Bulanda, Executive Vice President of Emerson & Business Leader of Emerson Industrial Automation for Emerson Electric Co.; Donald Fowler, President & CEO of Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc.; Daniel Jones, President & CEO of Encore Wire Corp.; Philip Mezey, President & CEO of Itron, Inc.; and David Nord, President &CEO pf Hubbell Inc.
Incumbent directors who were re-elected are Bruno Biasiotta, President & CEO of Philips Lighting Americas; Theodore Crandall, Senior Vice President & CFO of Rockwell Automation; John Estey, President & CEO of S&C Electric Co.; Michael Pessina, President of Lutron Electronics Co.; and Stuart Thorn, President & CEO of Southwire Company.
Winners of the 2013 Kite and Key Award were also recognized during the meeting: Michael Babiak, Director/Technology for Energizer Battery Manufacturing, Inc., and Alexander (Alec) McMillan, Director/Global Standards & Trade of Rockwell Automation. The Kite and Key Award recognizes individuals who have advanced the interest of the electroindustry through active and sustained involvement in NEMA activities.
