Flambeau Opens 2nd Dallas Showroom: Baton Rouge, La.-based Flambeau Lighting has signed a lease for a second showroom in addition to its 10th floor WTC location with Bill Reiman & Associates. The new showroom is located on the third floor of the Dallas Trade Mart at space #3656 in the Spectrum showroom and will be open during the June International Lighting Market. Flambeau executives anticipate the additional showroom will enable the company to gain visibility with retail lighting showroom owners, who may not travel the corridors of the World Trade Center. The new third-floor Trade Mart showroom positions them in the heart of the market where the lighting retailers shop. According to company president, Joe McKearn, “We have so many hard-wired SKUs in our line including chandeliers, pendants, and sconces and our business with lighting retailers continues to grow. Unfortunately we don’t see that many lighting stores shopping in our 10th floor WTC showroom, and therefore wanted to take advantage of an opportunity to create a small Flambeau display that lighting stores could essentially implement in their respective stores as a prototype display.” The manufacturer is also working with a lighting store specialist to build a separate lighting showroom sales force.
