The Las Vegas Market has announced 1,200 new furnishings and gift lines have been added or expanded since Winter 2012.
At the upcoming Las Vegas Market, held July 29-Aug. 2, buyers will see 1,200 new exhibitors and lines, with more than half of the growth coming from the rapidly emerging gift category with 510 new permanent gift showrooms and lines, and 405 new gift temporaries. In the home furnishings category, buyers will see 300+ new exhibitors that are all new to Las Vegas Market in just a few markets.
To accommodate this growth, Las Vegas Market has made room for 1.1 million square feet of new and expanded showrooms, categories, and products spanning furniture, home décor, and gift. Since Winter 2012, Las Vegas Market has added 600,000 square feet of furniture showrooms, 290,000 square feet of home décor showrooms, and 260,000 square feet of gift showrooms across its 5-million-square-foot campus comprised of three buildings. The market has also undergone re-merchandising to bring similar companies and categories together and create a more cohesive and efficient experience for buyers.
“The growth we’ve experienced in the last 18 months is nothing short of spectacular, and there is certainly a sense of renewed retailer participation and leasing activity that we haven’t seen in years. Both buyers and sellers see Las Vegas Market as a critical piece of their business strategy given its unique location, retail penetration, and broad exhibitor and product mix,” says Bob Maricich, CEO of International Market Centers, the parent company to Las Vegas Market.
“Our July Market provides an incredible opportunity for retailers to see thousands of mid-year product introductions to freshen inventory for the fall selling season,” Maricich adds. “We sincerely hope that any buyer who hasn’t been to our market in a couple years will take a serious look at us this Summer to experience over 1,200 new exhibitors and lines. Of course the first-class hospitality and educational components of the market are a huge bonus that uniquely benefit Las Vegas Market attendees.”
