Limoges, France-based Legrand has acquired Pinnacle Architectural Lighting, a manufacturer of architectural lighting solutions for commercial buildings in the USA. Legrand already has a strong presence in lighting control for non-residential buildings in the U.S., with its Pass & Seymour and WattStopper product lines. The acquisition of Pinnacle reinforces Legrand’s presence in North America with a complementary offering that allows it to develop customized solutions that combine the three main technologies used for lighting control (wall, lighting control panels, lighting fixtures) and that are adaptable to all needs and applications.
In addition, Pinnacle Architectural Lighting will round out Legrand’s existing presence in lighting, a market where it already has healthy positions in segments related to the electrical infrastructure of the building. These include emergency lighting (in France and Australia), highly energy-efficient lighting control (in the U.S.), and lighting of passageways and common areas in commercial buildings (in France).
Based in Denver, Pinnacle Architectural Lighting has 230 employees and reports annual sales of approximately $105 million, of which 95 percent is in the USA.
