About GWA Lighting
The firm was founded in 1968 by Raymond Grenald, who helped pioneer the practice of architectural lighting as a profession. He promotes the fundamental belief that light has a distinctive effect on human behavior.
In 1976, Lee Waldron joined Grenald and has helped to broaden and strengthen the company’s capabilities. Over time, Grenald Waldron Associates (now known as GWA Lighting) has cultivated a widely diverse client base by producing unique and technically proficient design solutions. Grenald continues to be involved in the firm’s progress and contribute to its design excellence.
The firm has received numerous awards for significant projects throughout the world, including two Presidential Awards for Design Excellence as well as its recent Honorable Mention for the Professional Commercial category in 37th Annual SOURCE Awards presented by Eaton’s Cooper Lighting division.
In addition to its Philadelphia-area headquarters, GWA Lighting also maintains offices in Shanghai and Beirut to more efficiently handle its design projects overseas.
