Adorne® by Legrand

Lighting Controls-Legrande MagnesiumTouchDomestic lighting manufacturer Hubbardton Forge has collaborated with Adorne by Legrand to debut six lustrous metal wallplates that are hand-forged by fire at Hubbardton Forge’s blacksmithing facility in Vermont.

“Since its inception, the adorne collection has changed the paradigm of the light switch from something ordinary to truly exceptional, both in terms of design and functionality,” says Amy Hahne, Vice President of the adorne collection. “We’ve raised the bar again with this exciting collaboration — the new wall plates are stunning on their own, but are taken to a new level of aesthetic appeal when synchronized with a Hubbardton Forge light fixture.”

“These adorne wallplates – just like every item created at Hubbardton Forge – are borne from nearly 2,000 degree heat, driving impurities from the steel resulting in a striking textural expression that makes each piece unique,” noted David Kitts, Director of Design for Hubbardton Forge. “We’re thrilled to present this line in collaboration with Legrand that embodies our shared values of artistry, integrity, and enduring value.”

The switchplates are available in the following finishes: Black, an opaque finish that is clean, crisp, and classic; Natural Iron, a silvery finish; Mahogany, a richly tinted clear coat of translucent finish;  Dark Smoke, a translucent finish in a dark patina that highlights the natural texture; Burnished Steel, a translucent finish that elevates the metal’s natural color; and Bronze, a warm, translucent sheen that shows off the steel’s original finish.

Thomas Research Products

The company has introduced the ZenNet family of wireless lighting controls for the OEM market. These self-powered devices are suitable for controlling retrofit lighting as well as new construction. ZenNet controls utilize solar cells and small kinetic energy-harvesting switches. Compact motion sensors and rocker switches pair wirelessly with fixture control relay modules. The system provides OEMs and retrofitters with a variety of control options to enhance their luminaire offerings. With no batteries and no wiring to worry about, the input devices can be placed anywhere.

ZenNet devices work with LED luminaires powered by TRP’s LED drivers, including 0-10V dimming capability. The maintenance-free system is optimal for indoor applications, such as zero-energy buildings. These relays, sensors and switches are ideal for stand-alone room-level set-up. They also network to building automation systems such as BACnet through standard gateways. www.trpssl.com
