Submissions Open for Las Vegas Market’s FIRST LOOK Trend Program

Las Vegas Market exhibitors have a unique opportunity to be featured in trend displays at the upcoming January show – taking place Jan. 26–30, 2020 – through the market’s proprietary FIRST LOOK trend program. FIRST LOOK, which is presented via on-site displays, an educational seminar and in a published resource guide, invites all exhibitors to submit their newest furniture, gifts and home decor products for consideration by the November 13 deadline.

“Las Vegas Market’s FIRST LOOK program is a key source for product trend and color information for furniture, home décor and gift buyers and suppliers,” says Dorothy Belshaw, Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing and Digital Officer for International Market Centers. “FIRST LOOK showcases the breadth and depth of on-trend product that Las Vegas Market has to offer.”

For Winter Market, FIRST LOOK will highlight five trending themes for the decade ahead, including Modern Luxury and Curated Home; Pattern Mash-Up: Exotic Flora and Fauna, Romantic Flourishes and Edgy Abstracts; Smart Home 2020: Tech Solutions in Home Office, Home Entertainment, Housewares & Personal Accessories; Wedding Bliss and Bridal Parties; and Celebrate! Seasonal Debuts for Easter, Halloween, Christmas and Birthdays.

FIRST LOOK curator and 24-year magazine editor Julie Smith Vincenti will assemble a selection of highly styled product displays in locations across the Las Vegas Market campus. Products accepted for FIRST LOOK also will be featured in an image-rich publication distributed online and at-Market and detailed in a free, CEU-accredited seminar from 10 to 11 a.m. on Jan. 27. Additionally, there will be a guided FIRST LOOK tour from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 28.

“FIRST LOOK is a fast track to new and noteworthy at Las Vegas Market, and on-trend colors, patterns, materials and decorating styles are the backdrop,” Smith Vincenti explains. “We kick off the decade ahead with engaging neutrals and arresting brights; bold patterns that underscore consumer confidence; and smart products that encourage efficiency and promote wellness. The mood at the start of the 2020s is realistic and romantic; practical and fanciful; and livable and luxurious.”

To be considered for FIRST LOOK, exhibitors must submit digital imagery (measuring at least 5”x7” at 300 dpi) and a completed product description form by Nov. 13 to Sandra Talley at stalley@imcenters.com and Julie Smith Vincenti at julie@ninemusesmedia.com.
