Next Generation Luminaires, Solid-State Lighting Design Competition: Indoor category winners of the 2012 Next Generation Luminaires™ Solid-State Lighting Design Competition will be presented at 9:00 a.m. at Lightfair on May 10 by U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) lighting program manager Jim Brodrick. The awards ceremony will include a hands-on showcase of the winning products, and NGL judges will be available for interviews, along with representatives from the competition’s sponsoring organizations: DOE, the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and the International Association of Lighting Designers.
