Donovan Designs Celebrates 25th Anniversary With New Collection
To celebrate his company’s 25th anniversary, designer Art Donovan of Long Island-based Donovan Designs has created a series of lamps – called the Summer Golden Collection – that celebrate the original classicism reflected in his original lighting line a quarter-century ago.
In this collection, Donovan brings a Modernist attitude to popular Industrial styling and renders his new designs in a petite size ranging from 15” to 18” high. With touches of Art Deco and Bauhaus, Donovan employs a proprietary warm Summer Gold metal finish.
“I envisioned an accent lamp collection that is bold in personality. This bibelot collection of tailored lighting shines with a warm elegance and is rendered in evocative forms,” says designer and company President Art Donovan. Each of the four lamps in the limited-edition series are handmade, signed, and dated.
