High Point, N.C.-based American Society of Furniture Designers (ASFD) has announced its first annual Touching Lives by Design merit scholarship. The program rewards academic excellence among furniture design majors and is open to full-time college sophomores and juniors enrolled in an accredited college design program.
“ASFD is pleased to be able to offer this scholarship to students who have chosen furniture design as their career path. Our association appreciates the generous donations that have made this scholarship a reality,” says Richard Schroeder, ASFD President.
The 2014 scholarship winner will be announced April 7 at the String and Splinter Club during the association’s annual spring dinner.
