Grand Opening for DMC’s Light + Design Set for October
Targeting the local interior design community, the Light + Design On Ten showroom at the Dallas Market Center (DMC) – which has been in development for the past six months – will hold its grand opening on October 11, with a reception from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. in its World Trade Center space (#10085).
“We are thrilled to unveil the highly anticipated Light + Design On Ten showroom,” says Cindy Morris, President & CEO of DMC. “Our commitment to the design community goes beyond offering merchandise; we want to foster a community by giving designers the access to the resources, training, and networking they need to thrive.”
The 20,000-sq.-ft. Light + Design On Ten showroom will be open daily and feature curated collections from lighting manufacturers including Carroll by Design, Hinkley Lighting, Holtkötter, Hubbardton Forge, John-Richard, Kuzco Lighting, Lucas + McKearn, and St. James Lighting.
The grand opening will take place following Dine + Design, the DMC and Sherwin-William’s semi-annual education and networking luncheon for the design community. The event allows attendees to view product while mingling, enjoying cocktails, music, and special giveaways. Dine + Design is estimated to bring together more than 600 designers for a complimentary educational program that will reveal insight on upcoming trends plus offer networking opportunities.
Light + Design On Ten will be staffed by a professionally trained and qualified lighting sales manager to assist interior designers with product education, sales orders, and sales leads via existing channels to sales representatives and manufacturers. The space includes the only private conference rooms and workrooms in the DMC campus designated for the design community as well as a 100-seat seminar room to be used for a full schedule of training and CEU sessions for lighting specialists and specifiers as well as workshops, networking events, and product reviews throughout the year.
