Gift for Life announced its 26th Party for Life raised more than $225,000 for AIDS treatment and prevention. The annual event, which benefits DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS, featured food, cocktails, and live entertainment. Guests also competed for a number of silent auction prizes including luxury experiences and unique home and décor products.
Trevor Cohen of Giftcraft was presented with the Chuck Yancy Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring his commitment to the industry, his generosity, and his company’s innovative designs. A special tribute also was given to the late Dr. Matilde Krim for her contributions to Gift For Life since its inception in 1992.
Over past 26 years, Gift for Life has raised more than $5 million for AIDS research, education, treatment, and care through nationwide events, cause-marketing programs, and direct donations. In 2008, Gift for Life selected DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS, one of the largest funders of HIV/AIDS service and education programs in the U.S., as its sole charity partner and beneficiary. In 2015, DIFFA National granted more than $250,000 to nearly 20 organizations providing treatment, education, prevention, and advocacy.
“The 26th Party for Life was one for the record books,” says George Kacic, Gift for Life’s Chair. “It was a fantastic event in a great new location with hundreds of attendees. I’d like to extend a huge thank you to all of our supporters.”
