In Memoriam: Bill Reiman

Long-time home furnishings and lighting representative William L. Reiman (Bill) passed away peacefully at age 76 with his wife, Connie, at his side on February 4, 2024. Bill and Connie had recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Born on August 27, 1947, Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth, and his brother Lee Reiman of Dallas. He is survived by his loving wife Connie, his two daughters: Amy Reiman Shifflett (Skip) her two children Sydney and Trey Shifflett of Carrollton, TX; his daughter Suzanne Reiman Crouch (Matt) and her children Macy Montoya and Maggie Montoya, stepchildren Marissa Crouch and Stella Crouch of Haslett, TX; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bill graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in May 1970 and began his career as an independent sales representative in the home furnishings industry in 1972. For many years he represented domestic lighting manufacturer House of Troy, along with many other lines, and he maintained a permanent showroom (Bill Reiman & Associates) in the Dallas Market Center’s World Trade Center for years.

Mississippi Furniture Association Service awarded him as the Salesman of the year 1972-1973, and later the International Home Furnishings Representatives Association presented the Dean of IHFRA award to Bill Reiman. He received many accolades over the years, which he proudly displayed on his desk. He was referred to by many friends and colleagues as “Mr. Bill.”

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in honor of Bill.
