Lighting and ceiling fan industry veteran Brad Friend, who retired from the business in 2019, passed away on January 19 after a sudden illness that began in the fall of 2021.
“We shared 35 years of marriage, made two of the world’s greatest kids and were blessed with so many loving friends and family,” said his wife Beverly. “We had so many adventures and memories together that I will always cherish. To say my life partner will be missed falls so short, but I know he’s in heaven with so many loved ones, he’s happy, and he will never suffer again. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and love that you surrounded us with throughout this time. We will be planning a celebration of life at a later date.”
Brad grew up in the lighting industry; his father was the owner of Carson Lighting. He was the National Sales Manager for Forte Lighting for nearly 15 years, and had held similar positions with American De-Rosa Lamparts and Concord Fans, among other companies.
