NY NOW (NYN), The Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, will welcome a number of international brands to offer buyers designs with a global touch. Taking place February 3-7 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, NYN will feature more than 2,300 exhibitors from 45 countries.
“NYN is certainly the place to be,” says Randi Mohr, NYN Show Director and Emerald Expositions Vice President. “We especially love seeing the international influence grow each season. Our buyers continue to demand global brands and we are pleased to offer such a strong representation at the upcoming winter market for them to source incredible products with unique stories.”
One of the industry’s leading resource for innovative, design-led merchandise for nearly three decades, Accent on Design features a curated selection of more than 125 established and emerging design brands that continually push the creative envelope. Applicants featured are selected based on authentic product design; new and innovative use of materials; products which address and solve problems; a focus on contemporary design; functionality; and consistent and continuous new product introductions.
As part of NYN’s Handmade Collection, Artisan Resource connects U.S.-based importers with international producers and exporters. Exhibitors in this section showcase products in a wide range of categories and are carefully selected to participate based on their commitment to design innovation, cultural preservation, social enterprise, and sustainability experience. They also demonstrate the capability to meet export demands at volume pricing.
Lastly, the Handmade Global Design section showcases compelling trends. Exhibitors are hand-selected for authentic designs — from traditional to modern — made through global artisan cooperatives. Exhibitors will feature products with woven components, such as woven baskets, bowls, and even wall decor and home accents.
