MAISON&OBJET to be Held as Scheduled in Paris

Following the terrorist attacks that took place in November, there was concern industry-wide whether MAISON&OBJET would take place as usual in January. SAFI, which organizes the fair, has confirmed that the winter edition of the global trade show will be held as planned from January 22 to 26 at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.

Almost all of the scheduled trade shows in the region, and elsewhere in France, have taken place according to the instructions from the French Interior Ministry and the local Prefecture. SAFI assures MAISON&OBJET attendees and exhibitors that “rigorous efforts have been made to reinforce security for all involved in the events programmed to be held in the next few months.” According to the event organizer, SAFI is in regular contact with the French authorities to ensure the highest standards of safety and security in terms of site access as well as inside the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre. Vehicle checks, baggage and pat-down searches, and identity checks are among the measures that have been put in place at all exhibition venues.

Information will be continually updated on the Web site www.maison-objet.com.
