The Dallas Market Center (DMC) and a nominating committee from ART, the creative home furnishings network, have selected Mark Phillips, founder and President of Phillips Collection, as this year’s ARTS Awards Academy of Achievement honoree.

“Mark and Julie Phillips have created a legendary family business reflecting their core values of generosity, innovation, skill, and sophistication,” says Cindy Morris, President & CEO of DMC. “Their continuing success is built upon hard work, but also upon a sense of connection with the world around them and with the customers they serve with style. Mark is an extremely deserving honoree.”

For more than 30 years, Phillips Collection has defined global style for the contemporary home décor market. Combining exciting concepts, talented designers, skillful producers, and a dedicated support staff, Phillips Collection is a creative collaboration that mixes concept, craftsmanship, and marketing to bring beautiful furnishings and accessories into homes around the world.

“This honor could not be extended to a more respected and generous individual,” comments Sharon Davis, Executive Director of ART. “Mark and his family personify global achievement that is grounded in remarkable humility and a spirit of helping others succeed. We are pleased to present him with the industry’s highest honor.”

The Academy of Achievement honoree is selected each year by the ARTS Awards Committee in order to recognize significant contributions to the industry. The committee serves one year and their duties include a review of the process and selecting the Academy of Achievement honoree.
