This year’s honor is the third consecutive year that MaxLite is receiving the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award and its fourth time overall. First honored in 2009, MaxLite was recognized again in 2014 and 2015 for leadership in manufacturing products that earn the ENERGY STAR rating. MaxLite has expanded its ENERGY STAR-certified product offerings by 78 percent from 2014 to 2015, increasing its portfolio to nearly 400 ENERGY STAR-certified indoor and outdoor lamps and luminaires.
“We are honored to receive the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award, and to be recognized by the EPA for the third straight year,” notes MaxLite President & CEO Yon Sung. “Our team remains committed to developing innovative, energy-efficient lighting solutions that increase the number and variety of ENERGY STAR-certified luminaires available to the residential and commercial building markets. We are also a company strongly committed to giving back to the community through our support of Habitat for Humanity and other nonprofit organizations.”
In 2015, MaxLite pledged a four-year, $1 million commitment to provide ENERGY STAR-certified lamps and fixtures to Habitat for Humanity. MaxLite has partnered with Habitat ReStore outlets to offer utility rebates on ENERGY STAR-certified products at 130 stores nationwide in 2015 and also donated more than $300,000 in ENERGY STAR-certified fixtures and lamps for the non-profit’s annual Home Builders Blitz. The products were used in building 200 affordable homes for low-income households across the country.
