Born in Bedford England, Julia emigrated to the U.S. in 1975 and moved to the Richmond, Va. area. She lost her battle with lung cancer and passed peacefully at home on January 26. She was preceded in death by her parents Joan Rutter, Jim Djengiz, and sister Maureen Reeves. She is survived by sisters Mary Friedman, Jeannette Nutley, and Ilene Bartle.
Julia was be missed by all who knew her, including her lighting family of manufacturers, reps, and customers. “She was the hardest-working and most loyal sales rep that I knew,” notes Steve Falk of Golden Lighting, who worked with Julia for many years when he was with Kichler.
A service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 30 at Amory Funeral Home at 410 Grafton Drive Yorktown, Virginia. Donations to the American Cancer Society are welcome.
