As more lighting showrooms increasingly diversify their businesses into other industries, data management can become a headache. In order to meet this need, XOLogic has expanded its product offering to include Plumbing, Electrical, and Decorative Hardware (along with Lighting) with +800 vendors. This more than triples the number of vendors inside XOLogic. The Plumbing and Hardware data comes from a licensing arrangement withMyPlumbingShowroom.com, a service of Bravo Business Media (and publisher of enLIGHTenment Magazine); the Electrical data comes from a licensing arrangement with IDEA.

According to XOLogic’s President Mark Farr, the company’s expansion into other verticals was prompted by their customers and allows existing and new lighting customers to take full advantage of all of XOLogic’s data products. “XOLogic’s goal is to deliver a platform that allows each showroom and distributor to upload and securely distribute their product data, which permits them to sell all of their products both online and in their brick-and-mortar store,” Farr states. XOLogic allows customers to upload their own products that they sell, which gives them further options in running their business.   

The company has also announced they will be moving their support model to dedicated account reps. “This will allow for a deeper partnership between customers and XOLogic,” notes Farr, adding, “helping showrooms take full advantage of the XOLogic software and our industry knowledge is a key initiative for 2016. We want customers to feel like partners, and to help those partners find success with their business.”
