Montgomeryville, Pa.-based LumenOptix, a leader in innovative design for the built environment, has named industry veteran Donnie Miller to its advisory board. A veteran with 40+ years of sales, marketing, operations, and executive management experience in the lighting industry, Miller was instrumental in the growth of such companies as Metalux as well as USI Lighting/Lighting Corporation of America (which included major brands Columbia Lighting, Prescolite, AAL, Moldcast, Keystone Lighting, Progress Lighting, and Dual Light), where he held successive roles as Regional Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, VP/Sales, and ultimately President and COO from 1986-2000. For the next decade, Miller was responsible for running the National Account division of Cooper Lighting before launching his own lighting consultancy business in 2010 with an emphasis on sales and marketing activities and acquisition/merger strategies.
“Through its unique brand of specification-grade retrofit solutions, LumenOptix offers a powerful value proposition that the professional lighting community needs and has been waiting for. I’m thrilled to be part of such a dynamic organization and to help LumenOptix create this unique market segment and contribute to its next exciting phase of growth,” Miller comments.
“LumenOptix is excited to welcome Donnie to our team in an advisory capacity and to work with him to create dynamic strategic alliances, execute our vision, and support the market’s demand for professional retrofit solutions that quickly and easily install into existing infrastructure but perform to specification-grade standards,” says LumenOptix founder Jay Goodman. “We’re confident that Donnie’s long-standing experience, expertise, and outstanding reputation in the industry will only amplify our company’s mission and efforts to create this new space in the industry.”
