West Caldwell, N.J.-based MaxLite is has partnered with Habitat for Humanity to provide energy-efficient lighting for Habitat ReStore resale outlet customers nationwide.
As part of the partnership, Habitat ReStores have begun selling discounted ENERGY STAR®-qualified CFL and LED lamps and fixtures. MaxLite is also donating $180,000 in ENERGY STAR-qualified products for 300 homes that will be built during Habitat for Humanity’s Home Builders Blitz in June. MaxLite has also partnered with utility programs across the country to provide additional discounts on lighting products to Habitat ReStores.
“MaxLite is excited to join forces with Habitat for Humanity and help improve the lives and communities of families in need of affordable housing,” explains Joe Pater, Utility Solutions Program Manager for MaxLite. “We are proud to support this great effort while encouraging consumers to embrace energy-efficient, quality lighting that reduces energy costs and maintenance.”
As part of this program, MaxLite’s utility solutions team will continue to work with utilities and their energy-saving rebate programs to provide lamps and lighting fixtures for sale through Habitat for Humanity ReStores. Habitat ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell goods to the general public at a fraction of the retail price to help local Habitat affiliates fund the construction of homes within their communities. MaxLite products are currently sold at 80 Habitat ReStores nationwide.
