Monte Carlo Fans Chosen as “Best Buy” from Consumers Digest: Consumers Digest editors have selected 62 Monte Carlo brand fans as one of its Best Buys in a past issue of the magazine and online at ConsumersDigest.com.
Chosen exclusively for its “economy selection” category, Consumers Digest highlighted Monte Carlo’s Homeowner Max model in particular, citing it as a “bargain powerhouse” at $79 (MSRP). The traditional design has five blades, an 11-degree blade pitch, and a 52-inch blade sweep. Its maximum airflow is 6,182 CFM, and it has three speeds, a pull chain control, and a slide reverse switch. The Homeowner Max is customizable with eight housing finishes and a variety of blade finishes and styles. Optional light kits, fitters, and remote control systems are sold separately.
The other 61 models in Monte Carlo’s traditional indoor ceiling fan line-up “range up to $856 and exclude outdoor units and fans that have DC motors” were also chosen as Best Buys. Among these are, according to the magazine, “an impressive 17 models that cost less than $200.”
“On average, a Consumers Digest Best Buy rating is awarded to fewer than three percent of the competing models in any given product category,” says Consumers Digest publisher Randy Weber.
