After a successful launch in 2024, the American Lighting Association (ALA) Women in Lighting (WIL) Committee is kicking off a second year of mentorship groups. All ALA members are invited to participate in a virtual group each month from February to November 2025 to ask questions, share experiences, and discuss issues and ideas in a confidential setting.
All participants must sign up for 2025, even if they have previously participated. As in 2024, each mentorship group will be guided by a volunteer facilitator to optimize the dialogues.
“We believe that by sharing our wealth of knowledge, expertise, and best practices, we can all grow and succeed,” said Julia Soto of Dretzka & Associates, who co-chairs the ALA WIL Mentorship Subcommittee with Kaitlin Dennis of Ferguson Enterprises.
Women interested in joining a 2025 mentorship group are asked to sign up before the January 10th deadline by visiting LightingWomen.com online or signing up in person at the ALA WIL reception, which will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, in the Hudson Valley Lighting showroom (Trade Mart 3902) during Lightovation in Dallas. The event will also provide the opportunity to ask questions about the program while networking in person.
Anyone interested in participating who is not already an ALA member, may email Carrie Kolles at Carrie@ALALighting.com for membership information.
