Hall of Fame architect and interior designer Lauren Rottet, FAIA, FIIDA, won three 2019 GOOD DESIGN® Awards for innovative designs, including her Fascio Collection of lighting for Visual Comfort & Co.
Now celebrating its 70th year, GOOD DESIGN is the oldest and most prestigious awards program recognized globally. Originally founded in Chicago in 1950 by former MoMA curator Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., together with a stellar list of pioneers of modern design such as Charles and Ray Eames, Russel Wright, George Nelson and Eero Saarinen, the annual GOOD DESIGN Awards celebrate work by the best industrial and graphic designers and manufacturers for their pursuit of design excellence.
“We’re very pleased to receive these accolades for our work – a real measure of excellence – and we thank the distinguished judges and the design community as a whole,” says Rottet.
Her Fascio Collection for Visual Comfort & Co. takes LED technology to new levels of contemporary warmth and is comprised of faceted crystal tubes that are bound and produced as sconces, pendant lights, a chandelier and a floor lamp in a choice of Polished Nickel, Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass, and Bronze finishes.
