International Market Centers (IMC) has named 26 newcomers will join the 175 exhibitors in the Suites at Market Square (SAMS) for Fall 2020 High Point Market Oct. 13 to Oct. 21.
“The Suites at Market Square offers buyers a great opportunity to find and test new and innovative products from companies that often have lower minimum orders,” says Jo Ann Miller Marshall, President/Tradeshow Leasing for IMC. “This fall, SAMS will feature enhanced health and safety protocols, including the implementation of one-way aisles for traffic control, so buyers can comfortably shop a cross-category lineup of furnishings and décor.”
Lighting, mirror, and casual furniture manufacturer Varaluz is among the new companies debuting this fall, along with: Acrylix & Kanvas (artwork); Easy Motion Furniture (motion furniture); Eikones Studio (photographic wall art); Homefires (specialty fireplaces); Jo-Liza International (furniture, home accessories); Judy Henson Studio (paintings and giclee prints); Korean Textile Center (fabrics and textiles); Oldnewrug (artisan rugs); Organic Edge Woodworks (tables); Revelation Culture (home furnishings); Rock Run Cabinetry (all-aluminum powder-coated cabinetry); and Weeks Weatherly (bedding and art).
Two lighting companies – St. James Lighting (copper lanterns & chandeliers) and Get Lit. Ltd. (decorative table lamps) – plus lampshade manufacturer Sorella Glenn will join the SALON gallery of SAMS, a curated design-focused selection of 50 fashion-forward companies featuring furniture, lighting, rugs, wall art, home textiles, and decorative accessories. SALON’s other newcomers include: Be | OUTSPOKEN (sustainable hides); Benson – Cobb (artwork, textiles, wallcoverings); Boda Acrylic (acrylic furniture); House of Cindy (home décor and textiles); Nicolette Mayer Collection (home decor and designer wallcoverings); Peacock Alley (bedding); Peace Waters (original art and paintings); Rug and Kilim (custom rugs); Stanton Gray Artisan Wall Coverings (wall coverings); and Stephen Wilson Studio (fine art, textiles, fabric, embroidery).
The Suites at Market Square will follow IMC’s Together Safely protocols including the required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), temporal monitoring, social distancing, occupancy control, hand sanitizing/cleansing and significantly enhanced housekeeping. Additionally, elevators and escalators will have capacity limits and stickers on the exhibit floor will indicate social distancing. Connected with these protocols, and in line with buyer sentiment, IMC will present 20+ educational pre-market webinars in lieu of in-person programming at the Suites at Market Square. Topics include trend forecasting, business practices during and after the COVID-19 crisis, consumer preferences, diversity, current market trends, and more. All virtual programing is free, and pre-registration is recommended. Complete descriptions are available online at http://www.imchighpointmarket.com/webinars-and-events/.
