Las Vegas Market Adds Gourmet Resources
The executive management of the Las Vegas Market has announced that leasing for the launch of the new C11 permanent showroom floor (to debut at the summer show August 2-6) has accelerated rapidly, with leading gourmet resources and several new multi-line sales agencies offering high-profile housewares, tabletop, and specialty food lines
“We are thrilled with the amazing degree of enthusiasm and support the industry is demonstrating for the Las Vegas Market’s debut of C11 this August,” says Dorothy Belshaw, President of Gift & Home Décor at International Market Centers. “Clearly, the convergence of major and boutique housewares brands in Las Vegas addresses a market void in the Western region, as evidenced by the widespread interest among both vendors and retailers. As the leading furniture, home decor and gift destination in the Western United States, Las Vegas Market is committed to offering dynamic new cross-category buying and selling opportunities for all market participants.”
Beyond exhibits, the inaugural Gourmet Insights Summit will offer dynamic educational content and exclusive networking opportunities targeted specifically to the Gourmet industry on Tuesday, August 4. The programming includes more than four hours of customized content, including retail panel discussions on “Effective Merchandising to Drive Impulse Sales” and “What’s Next on the Food Scene,” and a presentation on “Creating Community Using Social Media.” The event, which is free for retailers, will conclude with a special networking reception.
The launch of C11 marks the third and final phase of Las Vegas Market’s strategic growth plan to position itself as a leading buying platform for furniture, home décor, and gifts. In addition to the C11 opening, highlights of the upcoming Summer Market include a celebration of the Market’s 10-year anniversary; the continuing growth of C5, another new permanent showroom floor for boutique home décor, high-end home textiles and accessories; the premiere of the Casual Furniture launch at Las Vegas Market, with 250,000 square feet of permanent showrooms and temporary exhibit space on C12 and C13; and the repositioning and reimagining of the Market’s temporary exhibits as The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market, a freestanding, climate-controlled temporary trade show space on the World Market Center campus that will showcase 90,000 net square feet of home décor resources.
