Nesquehoning, Pa.-based E.L.K. Lighting Inc. has purchased Rhode Island-based lighting manufacturer Nulco Lighting. E.L.K. made the purchase under its sister corporation, Mt. Summit Lighting Inc. The transaction was finalized on July 11. Nulco’s operations will be relocated to E.L.K.’s facilities in Pennsylvania over the next several weeks with order fulfillment expected to resume by August 15. “Nulco has a rich history of designing high-quality lighting collections for residential and commercial applications,” explains Bradford Smith, CEO of E.L.K. Lighting Inc. “We intend to build upon the company’s legacy while using operational efficiencies to deliver even greater value to customers,” he adds. For decades Nulco has offered thousands of lighting designs, with its largest product concentration in classic crystal and stylized restoration fixtures. With the addition of Nulco, the E.L.K. Lighting group of companies will now have more than 5,000 skus that include lighting fixtures, furniture, decorative accessories, lamps, and mirrors. E.L.K. will be offering customers the option to combine orders with their other brands to provide additional cost-saving opportunities.
