ELK Group International (EGI), a designer and importer of residential and commercial lighting fixtures and home decor, will create more than 100 jobs after opening a new distribution center in Rabun Gap, Ga. later this year.
Headquartered in Nesquehoning, Pa., this will be EGI’s eighth U.S. location, and second in Georgia, giving the company more than 2.2 million square feet of combined warehouse space.
“Georgia is proud to welcome another EGI facility to our state,” Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson says. “It’s a great fit for Rabun Gap, and we look forward to the jobs and opportunity it will bring to Northeast Georgia residents.”
Todd Webb, COO of EGI says this strategic move will, “support EGI’s continued expansion, optimizing distribution for our customer base while also supporting the surrounding communities we serve. The Development Authority of Rabun County, Board of Commissioners, and the State of Georgia have been very supportive in helping us achieve this goal.”
