enLIGHTenment Magazine Names Winner of Merchandising Make-Over Contest
After sorting through all of the entries that were submitted to enLIGHTenment magazine’s “Win A Showroom Makeover With Denis Caldora” contest, The Lighting Corner – which operates two stores in Michigan – was chosen as the winner. The announcement was made by enLIGHTenment magazine’s publisher, Ace Rosenstein, during opening day of the International Lighting Market, held at the Dallas Market Center.
Laura Essenberg submitted several photos of the Grand Haven store that illustrated display areas in the showroom that need expert guidance. “The view that customers have when walking in the front door is a sea of fixtures and fans,” she wrote in her entry. “We also have a hallway that we are utilizing as a vertical space to show mirrors and artwork in addition to track and recessed lighting. It gets so crowded in there!”
Entries were judged on need as well as how well the entrants detailed the display challenges they are facing. EnLIGHTenment magazine will fly the lighting industry’s premier merchandising expert Denis Caldora of Caldora Lighting Design to Michigan to meet with The Lighting Corner’s staff in Grand Haven, where he will spend a full day brainstorming ideas and mapping out a workable plan for transforming the showroom.
