Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair celebrates its 10th anniversary April 6-9 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The fair is expected to welcome more than 1,300 exhibitors, showcasing innovative lighting merchandise to global buyers. Last year, the fair welcomed close to 21,000 buyers from 115 countries.
In order to enhance buyers’ sourcing efficiency, a reorganization of the spring fair layout will create several enhanced zones, including Residential Lighting, Technical Lighting, and Urban & Architectural Lighting. Together with the Avenue of Chandeliers, Decorative Lighting, Advertising Display Lighting and Commercial Lighting, lighting products are further categorized by their applications in specific situations. Visiting buyers can find relevant lighting fixtures, components, and accessories in each dedicated theme zone.
The new Horticultural Lighting zone will highlight the latest technology in professional production and domestic use, as well as debut a large selection of garden lights. The Smart Lighting & Solution zone will return to showcase advanced lighting systems, remote control, and smart lighting solutions. The Hall of Aurora will continue to provide a setting for high-quality brands to feature their lighting fixtures and solutions.
In addition to the broad spectrum of products shown by exhibitors, a series of events will be held to unveil industry trends and facilitate intellectual exchange among key industry players. The Asian Lighting Forum, co-organized by the Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association and Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Electronic Division, will examine various topics such as the applications of smart lighting and the convergent future of the lighting industry. Additionally, in a range of informative events and networking opportunities, buyers and exhibitors will share market insights and experts will discuss the testing, certification, and inspection process for lighting products.
