House of Troy Acquires G. Scatchard: Hyde Park, Vt.-based House of Troy, through a wholly owned subsidiary, has purchased the assets of G. Scatchard LTD, dba G. Scatchard Lamps, a manufacturer of artisan stoneware, on June 15.
“Scatchard gives us an opportunity to better serve our retailers by expanding our offering,” says Bill Brown, House of Troy President. “The colors created by the unique glazing process will appeal to the most discerning customers. These are not just lamps, they are works of art.” Earlier this year, House of Troy debuted a line of stoneware portables produced by Scatchard.
House of Troy is affiliated with Arroyo Craftsman and H.A. Framburg & Co. through the common ownership of Malcolm Tripp.
