Lighting veteran Michael Burt Goldstein passed away after a heroic battle with cancer at age 75. Mike was a familiar face in the industry during his roles as Vice President for ELK Lighting and Murray Feiss as well as prior positions with Starfire Crystal and Casablanca.
“Michael was by my side from my first days at ELK,” recalls Mark Fludgate, President of ELK Group International. “He taught me more about this industry than anyone else and kept everyone laughing with his jokes at the same time. He will be greatly missed, and everyone at ELK is saddened by his death. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.”
Georgia-based manufacturer’s representative John Anhut adds, “Michael hired me at Murray Feiss, and I will forever be grateful to him. He was an incredible salesman and I learned a lot from him. He had an infectious smile and always a great attitude. Our lighting world is a little dimmer without him. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, Jean, and all of his family.”
An avid boater and sportsman, Mike is survived by his brothers (Richard and Jeff), his wife Jean, and his five children (Rylan Marsh, Robert, Martin, Lauren, and Jenna) and four grandchildren.
