LIGHTFAIR International (LFI), North America’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, will return to Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Convention Center in May 2019.
The five-day Conference program will feature more than 70 courses presenting the latest information and concepts to attendees representing a broad spectrum of industries. Under a curriculum developed by lighting, technology, and design experts, the LFI Conference offers enlightening topics, dynamic speakers, and industry intelligence as a featured component.
Produced annually, LFI was last held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in 2017. The return to Philadelphia will follow LIGHTOVATION 2018 showing in Chicago at McCormick Place, May 6-10.
Jeffrey L. Portman, Sr., Chairman, Chief Executive Officer & President of LFI managing partner AmericasMart Atlanta says LFI 2017 in Philadelphia set unprecedented records. The trade show encompassed 277,600 square feet housing 592 exhibitors, including 59 first-time exhibiting companies and 127 manufacturers headquartered internationally. LFI 2017’s registration of 27,939, representing 81 countries, topped the 2016 total — a 7.4 percent increase over the 2013 Philadelphia registration total.
“Philadelphia’s continuing emergence as a center of design, architecture and innovation sets the perfect stage for LFI’s 2019 presentation of all that is new and next in lighting and technology products, ideas, and thought leadership,” notes Portman. “We fully expect the LFI business and brand to flourish in a setting so well aligned with the needs and aspirations of our global customer base.”
