Dallas Market Center (DMC) will unveil a Lightovation virtual pop-up show January 7-12, taking place during the dates that the in-person event would have been held (it has been postponed until March due to COVID precautions). The online event is the first of its kind in residential lighting and will enable qualified retail buyers anywhere in the world to shop products from 70+ leading brands in multiple categories and make purchases.

“Using breakthrough technology and intuitive design features, we are thrilled to support the lighting industry by creating the first virtual trade event for residential lighting,” says Cindy Morris, President & CEO of DMC. “The virtual show will provide buyers with an efficient and convenient avenue for discovering new products, surveying trends, and placing orders.”

More Upcoming Dallas Market Center Events

The month of January also includes multiple in-person events at DMC. The Total Home & Gift Market will take place as scheduled January 6-12 with the Temps running January 6-9; the Apparel & Accessories Market takes place January 12-15; and KidsWorld takes place January 12-15.

Supporting the comfort, health and safety of all attendees, the market center continues measures that began earlier in the summer and will remain in place for the foreseeable future. Those protocols include mandatory face covering and temperature screening for every person entering the marketplace every day. Other efforts include low contact entry via the Market FastPass, which saw a dramatic adoption in the summer, as well as enhanced cleaning with hospital grade products, hundreds of hand sanitizing stations, limited food service, no gatherings, and signage for social distancing. Along with these new steps, there are safety measures that are part of the natural design of the marketplace: open parking, large entryways, quick registration in multiple areas, wide hallways, multiple escalators to every floor, and showrooms with controlled access to allow for the appropriate distance between customers.
