If you’re a retailer lamenting, “I might go to market, but there’s probably nothing new to see there” then the Las Vegas Market has welcome news for you.
The Las Vegas Market has counted more than 1,300 furniture, home décor, and gift resources – presented collectively among 200+ showrooms – that will be open for Summer 2020 Las Vegas Market, which is scheduled for August 30 to Sept. 3. Due to the pandemic, this summer’s market features a revised showroom-only format (translation: no temporary booths), enhanced safety protocols, and improved filters on LasVegasMarket.com.
“We are delighted to offer buyers and designers a safe place to shop and source,” says Bob Maricich, IMC CEO. “These resources, combined with a new slate of enhanced digital tools, will create a robust sourcing opportunity to help our industry get back to business.”
More than 40 percent of the Las Vegas Market’s showrooms will be open as usual during Summer Market. Among the confirmed showrooms that will be open are: Abbyson; AICO; Anne McGilvray & Co.; Arteriors; Best of Show; Burton + BURTON; Capel Rugs; Cheers/Man-Wah; Four Hands; Ivystone; Just Got 2 Have It!; Leftbank Art; Norwalk Furniture; and Sunny Designs, among others. Market Website Offers Enhanced Filters, Robust Catalog of Webinar Recordings
To help buyers discover new product and prepare for market, Las Vegas Market has rolled out new digital tools and enhanced filters for its online Exhibitor Directory. The filters identify those showrooms that are open for Summer 2020 Market, exhibitors with ShopZio-enabled B2B ecommerce capabilities, and tenants with 3D showroom tours. To date, there are 192 ShopZio-enabled exhibitors and 57 tenants with 3D showrooms in the Exhibitor Directory.
Additionally, a full catalog of the 20+ Las Vegas Market webinars is available at https://www.lasvegasmarket.com/about/webinars.
Together Safely
This summer, Las Vegas Market showrooms will follow IMC’s Together Safely protocols including the required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), temporal monitoring, social distancing, occupancy control, hand sanitizing/cleansing and significantly enhanced housekeeping. Additionally, IMC has instituted new registration requirements, including contactless badging, phased access, and capacity limitations. Pre-registration for Summer Market is mandatory.
“We’re encouraged by the enforcement of IMC’s Together Safely protocols during Atlanta Market with many showrooms adopting similar safety and traffic measures,” Maricich remarks. “These factors have led a number of undecided exhibitors, including Crestview Collection and Zuo Modern, to open for Las Vegas Market.”
