Long-time lighting sales representative Bruce Reegler, owner of Reegler Associates in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., passed away unexpectedly on August 15, from complications following routine surgery.
Bruce’s wife, Suzanne, says, “Reegler Associates was Bruce’s legacy that I shared with him. We will honor his memory by continuing to provide the highest professional standards of service to our customers.”
Bruce founded his agency in 1970 and represented Feiss. He was expected to attend this month’s ALA Conference in Huntington Beach.
A celebration of his life will be held for family and friends – including his industry peers – in Palos Verdes on Sunday, October 4. For more information on the service, call: (310) 378-7824.
Bruce Reegler was not only my manufacturers representative but I considered him a good friend. He was highly intelligent and it was always very enjoyable talking with Bruce because he had so much insight not only in business but also with life. I will miss Bruce Reegler as I am sure so many will.
I was shocked and saddened to learn of Bruce’s passing. I originally met him while working as a buyer at the Antique Guild and he sold me both Murray Feiss and Genesis lamps. He was always the most professional, nicest rep to work with, it was always a pleasure. I still have a beautiful antique bronze desk lamp from Genesis that he gave me as a gift, I think of him each time I see it and will especially treasure that now.
When I became a rep, he was most helpful at Feiss and in finding me lines. He taught me the meaning of professionalism. I will always have fond memories with both he and Suzanne at Hign Point markets.
My condolences to Suzanne and the Reegler family
Suzanne, we were deeply saddened by the news of Bruce’s passing. Though it’s been years since we’ve been in touch, we still recall when Bruce represented Genesis Lighting, and you flew in to pick up your “Jersey Girl” Golden Retriever puppy from our Chelsea’s litter. You both became family and every year we would get a card at Christmas time. Although many years have passed, Cathleen and I hold fond memories of you, Bruce and Jersey Girl.
