Neri Oxman of Sony Corporation and MIT Media Lab will share her perspective in a presentation at LIGHTFAIR International, held in Chicago at McCormick Place May 6-10.
Oxman is an award-winning designer, architect, and inventor who has made ICON’s list of the top 20 most influential architects and Fast Company’s list of the 100 Most Creative People. SEED Magazine called her a “revolutionary mind,” and Oxman was recently featured among Esquire’s Best and Brightest. Her work has been covered by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, WIRED, and The Boston Globe.
In addition to her role with Sony Corp., Oxman is the Associate Professor of Media Arts and Sciences at the MIT Media Lab. Oxman states her work’s mission is to “enhance the relationship between man-made and natural environments by employing design principles inspired or engineered by nature, and implementing them in the invention of novel digital design technologies.”
