Special spotlights on new vendors, buyer resources, and the Philadelphia Gift Show partnership with Craft Retailers and Artists for Tomorrow (CRAFT) were among the new initiatives that drew retailers from throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Tri-State region to the event, held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center.

“Our ‘Buy More. Spend Less. Find New.’ marketing campaign is striking a chord with retailers throughout the region.  They know they will always find fresh new designs, their staple lines, and see their sales reps – all close to home – meaning less time away from their businesses and lower travel expenses,” said Dirk von Gal, Industry Vice President of Gift for Urban Expositions, which organizes the show. “It’s a formula that works and we’re constantly fine-tuning it by seeking out even more unique, locally sourced designs, artisan goods and other items that offer great sales appeal.”

The summer Philadelphia Gift Show welcomed more 68 first-time exhibitors to the show floor.  In addition, the show also featured new events and special promotions, including an expanded seminar schedule, retailer giveaways, free buyer breakfast, “stay for the last day” specials, and daily $50 cash giveaways.  Roseanne Gallagher of J Madison Spa & Salon in Kingston, Pa., was the $50 Grand Prize Giveaway winner, receiving a complimentary hotel stay at the winter 2016 edition of the Philadelphia Gift Show.

The Winter 2016 edition of the Philadelphia Gift Show will feature a new Friday to Monday date pattern and is scheduled for Friday, January 8 through Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center.   A brand new Web site design and a new hassle-free ExpressPass™ registration procedure are among the changes being announced in upcoming months.
