Las-Vegas-Market-Summer-2015

The Summer 2015 Las Vegas Market, which opened Sunday, August 2, was considered by International Market Centers (IMC) management to be the biggest, best and most exciting in the Market’s 10-year history. The summer edition features more than 2,200 resources across 40 floors; five new destination launches offering new and expanded product categories; and a forward-looking FIRST LOOK trend presentation, offering directional insights. The Las Vegas Market runs through Thursday, August 6.

“In just 10 short years, Las Vegas Market has delivered on its promise to create the leading furniture, home décor, and gift destination in the western U.S.,” says Robert Maricich, CEO of International Market Centers. “Las Vegas Market has experienced explosive growth and continues its electrifying evolution: What started as a furniture market has been transformed into the only major home furnishings market in the West, the fastest-growing gift and home décor market in the U.S., and the only national bedding market in the country. The energy and enthusiasm continues unabated at Summer Market, with major showroom expansions by leading vendors, large numbers of new-to-market resources opening showrooms, and record numbers of temporary exhibitors. We have made great progress in becoming the only ‘whole home and gift’ market in North America, and even though it has been a remarkable 10 years, our best days are certainly ahead.”

Summer Las Vegas Market encompasses three permanent showroom buildings and a new dedicated location for temporary exhibitors – with more than 5 million square feet of exhibition space. Special launch ceremonies debuted for the five new exhibition areas, including:

C11 – a new showroom floor for housewares, tabletop, gourmet food, and gifts featuring 50+ major brands showcasing a gift-oriented assortment of housewares and tabletop items.

C5 – another new permanent showroom floor highlighting 60 boutique and high-end home décor, home textiles, and accessories.

C ONE – a cross-category showcase of 40 furniture, lighting, home décor, and specialty tabletop exhibitors in permanent and temporary presentations.

The Casual Furniture & Outdoor category debuted with 250,000 square feet of permanent showrooms and temporary exhibit space on the 12th and 13th floors in Building C.

The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market is a free-standing, climate-controlled temporary trade show space showcasing some 70,000 net square feet of 350+ innovative gift and home décor resources in five categories: Gift, Home, Design, Handmade and DISCOVERIES-The Antique Marketplace.

In addition, the Summer Market presented informative and educational programming, including its FIRST LOOK presentation, spotlighting the best new-to-market products in four major trend categories: Holiday Traditions, which mixes Modern Equestrian and Luxe Lodge influences; Merry & Bright, inspired by an incoming PANTONE palette called Merriment, highlighting bright hues such as Aquarius blue, Mimosa yellow, Super Pink, Orangeade and Classic Green; Happy Hour, a cross-category assortment of casual furniture, outdoor décor, decorations and gifts designed for the great outdoors; and Tween Tech, imagining the workstations of tech-savvy twin tweens including retro space motifs for boys, and preppy pastels for girls.
