Almost one year after it was acquired by the Guangdong, China-based investment firm Creative Home Furniture Co. Ltd., Theodore Alexander Inc. – a manufacturer of high-end furniture, lighting, and accessories –has named Doris Phua as its new CEO, replacing Harvey Dondero, who had served in that role for the past 10 years.
Phua comes to Theodore Alexander from the Da Vinci Group, where she served as CEO of the high-end furniture retail company and cofounded Da Vinci Group Holdings with her husband. She brings more than 30 years of experience in the high-end furniture retail industry.
“Dr. Phua has a proven track record of successful leadership and we look forward to her vision for the growth of Theodore Alexander,” read a statement from the board of directors. “This appointment is a fantastic opportunity for Theodore Alexander.”
Other recent appointments include promoting Neill Robinson to president of the USA division from VP/Sales and hiring industry veteran Steven Avitable as VP/Sales, Designer Division.
