Pamela St. Martin has been named VP/Sales & Marketing for Miami-based Van Teal Lighting. After several years as an independent business consultant, St. Martin has rejoined the lighting industry full-time with the Van Teal appointment and will be based in Houston, Texas.
“Over the past 20+ years, I’ve developed a great friendship with the Van Teal family. We’ve always had mutual respect for each other in the industry,” St. Martin says. “The company has earned an incredible reputation for quality and creativity within the interior design community and I’m looking forward to helping them expand their reach.”
St. Martin’s experience in the lighting showroom sector from her previous executive positions at Fine Art Lamps, John-Richard, Kichler, and Sea Gull Lighting will be an asset in continuing to grow the business among lighting, furniture, and specialty stores. Van Teal Lighting is a current ARTS Award Finalist in the Lighting Fixtures category (winners to be announced next month at the gala event held during the Dallas Market).
What impresses St. Martin most about the company is the amount of hand-craftsmanship that is accomplished in its Florida factory plus the rich cultural heritage and design perspective that Cuban-born founder Hivo Van Teal, Sr., brings to the Van Teal Lighting product line. St. Martin is already planning a dynamic party celebrating the company’s roots and success during the International Lighting Market at its Dallas showroom (3060 TM).
