Clean ceiling planes are what the chicest homes in shelter magazines show, and that is what clients want today.
The latest track and recessed lighting is all about subtlety. Baffles that don’t leave distracting “black holes” that eyes automatically gravitate to when the lights are off and track/cable lighting with heads that can fit into the palm of one’s hand are what successful lighting showrooms are guiding their customers to select. It’s actually an easy sell: once clients see how these products look in person, they’re sold on the aesthetic.
With so many examples of the latest styles in both track/cable lighting and recessed lights in this issue, you’ll want to keep this edition handy as a ready reference. When customers come in to retrofit their incandescent/halogen PAR recessed with LED, continue the conversation with information on upgrading their baffle choices or retrofit units that can fit the larger recessed openings, but offer a less noticeable light source.
For those clients who might think track fixtures are passé, demonstrate how many new versions have adjustable beam spreads and versatile aiming capabilities. These aren’t their grandparents’ track fixtures!
