ALA Invites Industry to Virtual Welcome Party

To kick off its popular annual conference – which, due to COVID-19, could no longer be held in person –the American Lighting Association (ALA) has transformed the experience into a digital symposium of educational sessions plus a separate interactive virtual party as its welcome reception.

The educational program, which begins on Monday afternoon (September 14), requires separate registration and an affordable fee (click http://bit.ly/SympoReg to register); however, the Welcome Reception is free for all to attend, but requires separate registration (click http://bit.ly/WelParReg).

With the separate registration for the Welcome Reception, you will be able to create a custom avatar to represent yourself at the beach-themed virtual party, which includes music by Nashville artist Tony Lucca  (click http://www.tonylucca.com/music1 to hear his music).

During the party, the annual Hall of Fame inductee will be announced and presented. The schedule for the party is as follows:

4:00 P.M. CST – Doors Open

4:45 P.M. CST – Hall of Fame Presentation in the “auditorium”

5:00 P.M. CST – Tony Lucca Concert at “the beach”

6:00 P.M. CST – Networking With Industry Friends

“We are excited to be hosting the ALA Virtual Symposium next week. We have a great line-up of speakers, who will be covering topics that are highly relevant to today’s world,” notes Eric Jacobson, CAE, President & CEO of the American Lighting Association (ALA). “The Monday afternoon Welcome Party presents a unique opportunity for members to have face-to-face discussions with industry peers through custom avatars in The Echo virtual world — all while enjoying a live concert on the beach. We look forward to providing a venue for everyone to connect, learn, and focus on improving their businesses during these unprecedented times.”
